The USB 3.0 camera has 5.0 megapixels with a professional grade 1/2" CMOS chip offering a resolution of 2600 x 2160 pixels and perfectly suited for the task of measuring. 

A high-precision double guide system with rack and pinion adjustment, enables very fine adjustment in the Z-axis. In conjunction with the solid mounting of the optics, lateral misalignment of the optical center during height adjustment is avoided. This is particularly relevant when using cross measuring tables as any lateral offset of in the optics can lead to measuring errors.

Zoom unit with 6.5x optical magnification, six indexed zoom levels and accessory lenses. 

To measure precisely with the Metric software we need to be able to set the individual zoom levels reproducibly. The zoom unit has six spherical recesses into which a spring-loaded ball is engaged when turned. The steps are marked by numbers and created as “lenses” in the Metric software and calibrated using a reticle that is supplied with a certificate.

Within the zoom range the working distance (end of lens to test subject) does not need to be changed. The distance is adjusted at the highest magnification level and then remains fixed for the entire zoom range. KITOZOOM's scope of delivery includes an 0.5x accessory lens which provides two zoom ranges, covering 15x to 215x magnification and are sufficient for 95% of all cases. Four additional accessory lenses (0.25x, 0.75x, 1.5x and 2.0x) expand the magnifcation range to 8x - 450x when a larger field of view or higher magnification is required.

Metric measuring software for video microscopes is available 35 languages including manual and automatic measurement functions, interfaces and controls as well as protocol functions resulting in powerful software.

Metric is simple to use and saves time with measurements being performed in either live or still images. It can be used whenever the camera is connected, which means you can install it on as many computers as desired.

Updates for Metric measurement software are generally free of charge. This saves time-consuming update contracts and ensures that users can always keep their systems up to date. Two versions of Metric are available and it is possible to upgrade from Metric PE Standard to Metric MT at the original update price. Your old version will not lose its value.

Track Stand - model KITO-10 - high-precision double guide system with rack and pinion adjustment, enables very fine adjustment in the Z-axis. When using cross measuring tables, the lateral offset of the optics can lead to measuring errors without precision guides.

A large base plate 400 x 250 mm made from 20 mm precision-milled and anodized aluminum. The base plate mounting feet can be individually adjusted in height and fixed. Weight: 10 kg, dimensions: 400 x 250 x 550 – 670 mm.

Track Stand with under light -  model KITO-20 - for applications where light is required from below the object being viewed, we can supply the same stand with a LED light plate integrated in the solid base plate. The LED light plate is dimmable and approx. 0.5 mm below the surface of the base plate. This model can be combined with our positioning tables and cross measuring tables and has pre-drilled holes for mounting. All tables can be found below in the related accessories tab. 

Track Stand with XY Cross Table - model KITO-40 - this model is supplied with an XY positioning table. The adjustment range is 75 x 55 mm. This is an ideal solution for simple, fast positioning of small parts. However, for very fine positioning tasks in the 0.01 mm range, it preferable to use a KITO-20 model with a corresponding precision positioning or cross measurement tables.

Achieving the best image quality for each application relies on the illumination used. Choose between the standard or high power professional ring light.

Standard LED Ring Light - with dimming. This is included with all Kitozoom models and suitable for most applications
