Pushing the limits of handheld digital microscopy, the 8-megapixel AM8917MZTL digital microscope delivers 4k high resolution and colour fidelity for a natural-looking and detailed imaging experience. AM8917MZTL includes a polarizer for reducing unwanted reflections as well as eFLC for maximizing lighting adjustability.

The AM8917MZTL is part of the Long working distance range (LWD) with magnification from 10 – 140x, continuously variable, providing a wider field of view and extended working distance to the object (up to 23 cms) making it ideal for applications such as repair, rework and assembly tasks or where the object is bulky.

Focus stacking with the Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) feature automatically stacks images at different focus level to improve the depth of field on rough or uneven surfaces. Contrast stacking with the Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) feature reveals details of darker or brighter areas within the object by stacking images at different exposure levels (at the moment EDR & EDOF only function under Windows OS).

The built-in Automatic Magnification Reading (AMR), allows measurements to be performed easily and quickly as any changes to magnification quickly appear in the Dino-Capture software.

Depth Aquisition (DPQ). This new feature utilises the delicate focus control of this model to acquire depth information of surface defects such as scratches, cracks and corrosion. Learn more about DPQ here.

This Dino-Lite USB microscope includes software for PC (DinoCapture). DinoCapture 3.0 is just released for Windows and is needed to work with 4k resolution in 16:9 ratio. The software is robust and easy to use with extensive features allowing: image capture, storage and email, live and time lapse video, measurement with calibration, annotation, geotagging, full screen capability, auto and manual exposure control, picture within picture zoom (magnifier) and much more. MicroTouch snapshot function is also standard on the Dino-Lite Edge series.
